Since I last blogged about Grill’d, a whole lot more stores have been popping up over Australia with 9 now open in Sydney, which is great news because their burgers are so freaking delicious! Today we popped by the World Square branch which is right underneath Din Tai Fung and conveniently has window seats overlooking the open plaza area – great for people watching hehe.
Garden Goodness – $11.50
I opted for something different from my favourite Baa Baa Burger and go vego this time. I got the Garden Goodness which contains a soft veggie pattie coupled with fresh ingredients – beetroot, cheese, avocado and lettuce. It is topped off with some relish and herbed mayo and is sooooooo finger lickin’ good. The bun in particular is soft and airy, something which is consistent every time I visit. Two thumbs up to the bread maker!
Back Bar – $15.50
Yvn opts for the Back Bar which is a steak sandwich – 100% grass fed scotch fillet, crispy trim bacon, mesculin, feta, tomato, spanish onion, tomato relish and herbed mayo on ciabatta. It’s a very hearty and meaty sandwich, and having that layer of bacon makes the medium rare steak that much tastier.
Regular Hot Chips – $4.50 | Sauces – $0.70 each
To accompany our burgers we got the herbed chips, along with one of each sauce – herbed mayo, tomato relish and sweet chilli mayo. The thick cut chips are a great addition and the sauces are all fantastic too. The favourite of our table was obviously the sweet chilli mayo though which disappeared in no time as the sweetness really complemented the fine herbs on the chips.
Throughout the night, it amazed me that the World Square branch stayed completely busy with a queue at the counter during our entire meal. To top this off, it was a weeknight as well! I’m sure the lines say a lot about the quality and taste of Grill’d and it really makes me happy to know there are many Grill’d branches keeping me satisfied for quick, tasty and affordable meals.

Yeh how amazing are the chips!!! And the sauces mmm
Great news to have another Grill’d handy! I’m a big fan.
ive only had them twice and i think most of the burgers except the chicken one is nice. the chicken one was too dry and thin for my liking! their chips are the bomb tho!
I’ve never had the chicken one before! Might be just a bad day for you since the other ones are very good, can’t imagine that they can stuff up the chicken!
Awesome, will have to try it out. Walked by here the other weekend after coffee and peeked inside. We’d already just hit up Chur Burger so was a little overdone in the burger dept 🙂
ooo I’ve been meaning to hit up Chur Burger, haven’t had the time yet. But Grill’d is nice and accessible everywhere else 🙂
It’s great they have so many vegetarian options. I have a friend who was almost catatonic by the fact they had more than once choice! lol
