Tucked away in a more industrial part of Alexandria is the Latin American eatery Ola Lola Cafe. It poses as a half takeaway shop and half cafe, yet still manages to draw in quite a crowd with a mix of locals and Latin American nationals (it’s so cool hearing them speak!). They serve up authentic Colombian coffee beans with their repeat customers leaving their loyalty cards in the store for convenience and their menu boasts influences all across the continent, from Mexico to Argentina.

Bread & Circus Wholefoods Canteen, Alexandria

Bread & Circus is a quirky canteen set up at the back of a warehouse at Alexandria. It’s an open plan space with lots of fresh air and right next door is a bakery and cafe creating quite the bustling vibe. They have an ever changing daily menu serving up organic and freshly made wholefoods, so no two visits will ever be the same. The items on the menu all look really healthy, albeit slightly pricey, but I guess that’s the price you pay to avoid processed foods.
