Banana Blossom Asian Salads, Bondi Beach

Nestled off the busy Hall Street at Bondi Beach is the third branch of Banana Blossom, a small chain of Asian salad restaurants which opened a few years ago. It’s a beautiful summer day and I’m planning to visit the beach later, so I’m pretty stoked to be trying a lighter lunch of salads instead of the usual meat-heavy lunches I’d usually opt for.

Trio Cafe, Bondi Beach

For an easy, breezy brunch with a view of the iconic Bondi Beach, it’s hard to go past Trio Cafe. The fact that you need to book at least a week in advance is a testament to its successful formula of friendly service, an extensive and interesting brunch menu and location, location, location.

Anatoli, Bondi Junction

The last time I went to the Eastern hotel was awhile ago, but this multi-level venue connected to Westfield Bondi Junction has since been revamped into a foodie haven. It now features The Publican on the ground floor, Anatoli on the first, Chimmi’s rum cantina on the second and El Topo bar on the rooftop.

The Stuffed Beaver, Bondi

Tucked away just a couple of blocks from the iconic Bondi Beach is Canadian-style pub, The Stuffed Beaver. As you walk in, you can already tell that there is no room for pretentiousness here – just a casual space for mates, sports-watching and rock’n’roll appreciation, coupled with some finger-licking messy food and drinks.
