Do you givva fork?
It’s a question which Sydney diners will be pondering about this March as the GIVVA FORK campaign kicks off across certain restaurants around town as they give diners the chance to be philanthropists with their forks by giving a little bit extra at the end of their meals to make a huge difference for children in Laos. This catchily named campaign is the brainchild of young Sydneysider Dominic Greenwood who runs a not-for-profit organisation called Major Raiser. Their aim is to fund school feeding programs in vulnerable regions around the world to help solve the problem of an estimated 66 million children who attend school hungry worldwide every day. Every dollar raised for Major Raiser’s GIVVA FORK campaign in March 2013 will provide 4 school meals to a child in need in Laos through the World Food Programme and they have partnered with popular restaurants around Sydney for this worthy cause so that their diners can have a chance to eat charitably.
