Hidden upstairs in the building next door to the newly opened Topshop is a bustling restaurant called Gowings Bar and Grill which brings alive the history of the original building with its name and rejuvenates it with a European brasserie concept.

While Neutral Bay has always been known for being a bit of a foodie destination for some, I had no idea that it had been undergoing a revamp on one of its main streets and had welcomed some more contemporary restaurants to the neighbourhood. I was surprised to see Pony there on the main strip, as we were strolling through after dinner. We had already been stuffed full of savoury goodies by that stage but we always have a separate stomach for dessert, so in we went.
