Banana Blossom Asian Salads, Bondi Beach

Nestled off the busy Hall Street at Bondi Beach is the third branch of Banana Blossom, a small chain of Asian salad restaurants which opened a few years ago. It’s a beautiful summer day and I’m planning to visit the beach later, so I’m pretty stoked to be trying a lighter lunch of salads instead of the usual meat-heavy lunches I’d usually opt for.

Devon on Danks, Waterloo

We are both fans of the multicultural fusion cuisine on offer at Devon by night and now the dinner service has been moved from the original Devon store to their new digs on Danks Street at the old Danks Street Depot site. I love the trendy, playful fitout which incorporates a lot more bright light through the big windows facing the street and high ceilings, giving off a completely different vibe from their other restaurant.

Momofuku Seiobo (Degustation), Pyrmont

I’ve heard a lot of things about Momofuku ever since it opened in 2011. From the rave reviews, to their famous pork buns and notoriously difficult booking system, I was definitely excited to finally try their degustation. Rabbit Hole Bar and Dining, Sydney

Rabbit Hole Bar and Dining is a hidden underground bar/restaurant near the Martin Place area. Situated in the space previously occupied by Bar Europa, they’ve been open for about a year and a half now and have already made a name for themselves serving up tasty meals (check out their wagyu beef burger!) and drinks. I’ve been a couple of times before but this time we’re trying out a pilot of their ‘Cocktail Concepts & Culinary Craze’ – a monthly event that will showcase unique cooking techniques and molecular mixology.
