Alpha Restaurant, Town Hall

Greek food is back in a big way in Sydney and we got to experience it first hand with the generous Yia Yia’s Table set menu (and some add ons) at Alpha Restaurant for their new Sunday lunch offering. Alpha in a nutshell is sleek Greek – from the gorgeous wooden decor (think Greek lettering inscribed into the exposed concrete walls and oversized netted lanterns), pops of bright blue in the airy restaurant space and contemporary Greek goodies on the menu.

Anatoli, Bondi Junction

The last time I went to the Eastern hotel was awhile ago, but this multi-level venue connected to Westfield Bondi Junction has since been revamped into a foodie haven. It now features The Publican on the ground floor, Anatoli on the first, Chimmi’s rum cantina on the second and El Topo bar on the rooftop.

A Greek Feast with Steve & Helen from My Kitchen Rules

In April, George’s Mediterranean Bar & Grill at King Street Wharf opened up their restaurant to 2012 My Kitchen Rules contestants, siblings Steve & Helen, who hosted a magnificent Greek feast! This was a four course meal featuring custom made dishes from Steve & Helen, along with some favourites off George’s menu, to celebrate the Greek Festival of Sydney, and it was definitely an unforgettable celebration.

The Apollo, Potts Point

Happy birthday to my awesome friend Carina! To celebrate, we are having lunch at The Apollo located at Potts Point. Situated just a short walk from Kings Cross, I’m not too familiar with this area but there are some great eats nearby including the new Bourke Street Bakery just across the road and the Potts Point branch of Cafe Sopra on the next block.
