Three Blue Ducks, Rosebery

We’ve been fans of Three Blue Ducks since their original Bronte days and dropped by their Rosebery cafe housed inside The Cannery precinct to see how their new outpost was treating them.

There’s plenty of seating inside this cavernous, spacious warehouse-style site (making it great for group brunches) and some interesting dishes on the menu, like their Asian-inspired Brown Rice & Miso Congee which our friends tried and enjoyed, paired with kimchi, charred greens, corn and a soft egg for a comforting dish.

Brown Rice & Miso Congee, $18

Onto more conventional brunch fare, we also got their great value Breakfast Roll which was a delicious combo of bacon and chilli jam, with a fried egg, slaw and mayo for the ultimate gourmet hangover cure.

Breakfast Roll, $14

The Chorizo & White Bean Soft Eggs were also a winner, the moreish flavours in the dish served with pork crackling, an intriguing black sausage crumb, parsley and toasted sourdough.

Chorizo & White Bean Soft Eggs, $22

We love the buzz in The Cannery precinct and the proximity to other foodie icons, as well as designer outlets for a spot of post-brunch shopping. We’ll be back to explore more of the Three Blue Ducks menu and the area when the weather warms up.
